Nursery Fees & Funding

At our nursery we believe in open communication with all our parents/carers and staff and are therefore presenting this fee structure in order to ensure that everyone fully understands our charging.

Our fees include all drinks and snack. Fees do not include nappies, formula milk or jars of baby food.

We are open for 50 weeks of the year closing at Christmas and Bank Holidays.

Fees are payable in advance, in accordance with the rates in force at the time. Fees are reviewed annually in April of each year, or in the event of any changes to the Code of Practice. Any changes to current rates will be advised in writing, at least one month in advance.

Types of Free Early Education (FEE)

From 9months, and 2, 3 & 4 year old Free Early Education (FEE)

From age 3 all children are entitled to the universal 15 hours free early education per week, for 38 weeks, from the first term after their 3rd birthday until they reach statutory school age.

Working parents who meet the eligibility criteria (see https://beststartinlife.gov.uk  for details), can claim 15 hours free early education per week, for 38 weeks, from 9 month old to 2 year olds.  For 3 and 4 year olds, this is an additional 15 hours per week, above the universal free hours, for a total of 30 hours per week over 38 weeks.  Children become eligible for this from the first term after their qualifying birthday.

Some 2 year olds may also be eligible for 15 hours free early education per week, over 38 weeks, from the first term after their 2nd birthday.  This is known as Free for 2 and is available for families who meet the governments eligibility criteria. (See  https://beststartinlife.gov.uk for criteria details or speak with the manager)

As Towers Tiny Tots Nursery are open for 50 weeks of the year we stretch the 30 and 15 hours per week funding entitlement, meaning families that are eligible can claim either 24 or 12 funded hours per week for 47.5 weeks.

The Nursery has a very limited number of places available for completely free 15 hours of free early education for 38 weeks, where you will not attend during the school holidays.  These places can be accessed by attending three of our 5 hour sessions.  You will need to provide a packed lunch or pay our lunch contribution for a cooked lunch to be provided.  Please speak to the manager if you require a completely free pattern of attendance.

A Child Born On Or Between Will become eligible for a free place from
1st April and 31st August
Start of term 1, in September, following their 2nd/3rd birthday
1st September and 31st December

Additional costs relating to free early education

The Early Education and Childcare funding is intended to deliver 15 or 30 hours of free, high quality childcare. It is not intended to cover the cost of the meals, other consumables such as nappies or sun cream, additional hours or activities.

We therefore ask for a hot meal charge to cover the cost of our cooked lunches and snacks for children who are accessing completely free childcare.

If you do not wish to pay the charge we ask that you provide your child with a healthy packed lunch.
