About our Nursery
We are a small and friendly Day Nursery that is situated on The Towers school site in Kennington, Ashford. We offer care for children from three months to four years of age in a stimulating environment with a wide range of resources. We are open from 7.30-6pm Monday to Friday for 50 weeks of the year, closing for Christmas. We are also closed on bank holidays.
We operate from two rooms, our baby room which is for children from three months – 2 ½ years and the over 2’s room. We always try and identify when children are ready for the transition into the over 2’s room and move them according to their readiness and also whether they would be going up with
We have an enthusiastic and motivated staff team who plan stimulating activities and provide a positive and engaging learning environment for all children. We have an outside classroom and a rich garden to extend learning beyond the nursery room.
Each child has a key person that plans for their individual key children, these are all linked around the Early Years Foundation Stage which is the Framework that we follow.
Our inclusive approach ensures that all parents and carers feel welcome and valued, we appreciate that parents know the most about their children and try and use shared information when planning for children.
In our most recent OFSTED inspection we were rated as “GOOD” May 2014

"As a mum of 3 young children I am very aware of the concerns that come with picking a playschool/preschool or nursery for your child and when it was time for my eldest to go I visited several around ashford, but I knew from the minute I walked in to towers tiny tots preschool that it was the right one for us. My eldest has now left and started school over a year ago and my 4 year old and 2 year old have both started at tiny tots preschool. I have had so many questions over the years that have been answered and fully addressed with time and compassion, I had no idea what skills my son would need when he started school but luckily the preschool were able to guide him in the right direction. They did an amazing job of teaching him and encouraging him in the skills he needed, we all think they need to be able to read and write before they get to school but actually its the preparation skills they need most, from understanding how lunch time works to taking out there plates using a knife and fork, learning to hold a pen, learning to make choices etc.
I quickly learnt that things he had done at playschool that I dismissed as merely play were in fact so important in teaching him foundation skills to move forward at school. My son is thriving at school and the playschool was a huge part of that I cannot thank the playschool and all the amazing staff enough for the job they do, my son loved his time at the playschool and as a result was completely ready for school. I am incredibly glad that my 2 other children are at the preschool being cared for and loved by the amazing staff."
